FYI LASH FILLS (how to book)
Lash fills are booked by the hour. If you need more time, please take advantage of our maxx fill (1 hr & 20 mins) appointments.
Any appointments past 3 weeks will require more time, please book accordingly. Anything past 4 weeks is considered to be a partial set or a full set.
For the clients enjoying volume extensions, please be aware that makeup in the lash line will result in a closed volume fan. Once a fan is closed it loses its "fluff" appeal and will either need to be removed or will need to shed before a new fluffy volume fan can be applied. Pencil & liquid eyeliner on the top or bottom lid will close volume fans and if not properly removed will contribute to a dirty lash line.
A dirty and congested lash line will result in poor retention. If your extensions are not holding up as well as you hoped, please look over your skincare products. We have found that certain lifestyle activities also diminish the longevity of extension bonding: hot yoga, tanning beds, daily swimming, steam (from saunas or facials).
Be sure to ask your facialist to protect your lashes with appropriate goggles. Exposure to steam will flatten the curl as well as weaken the bonding of the glue.
Pay attention to any changes in the integrity of your eyelid. Let your lash artist know If your eyelid is ever swollen, irritated or itchy following your lash fill.
Healthy eyes start with healthy lids. Did you know the eyelid is responsible for over 85% of dry eye problems?
Easily eyelid & eyelash hygiene is critical for maintaining a healthy lash line. We recommend you WASH DAILY with either ZocuFoam eyelid cleanser or Lira Bio Enzyme Cleanser - and rinse well!
Oil based products near or around the eyes will weaken the bond of the extension. Propylene glycol, which is found in many skin care products has been known to breakdown the bonding of the extension and the natural lash resulting in poor retention.
Avoid rubbing your eyes, pulling on lashes and use of cotton or wipes to remove eye make up. Cotton fibers may snag on your extension and result in premature shedding.
Steam & heat will cause bond to weaken and extensions to lose their curl.
It is very important to rinse lashes (with splash of water) following exercise or tearful moments.
It is normal to shed 2-3 lashes every day. Be sure to book your next fill in 2-3 weeks.
How to prepare for your upcoming lash appointment:
Come to your appointment with squeaky clean lashes. Be sure to remove all residue of eyeliner and or mascara. Your lash artist has a certain amount of time designated to the removal and application of extensions, let's make sure no time is wasted on removing makeup.
Let your lash artist know of any eye conditions or issues that may affect your comfort during your appointment and your overall experience with extensions. Let us know of past experiences, whether they be pleasant or unpleasant. The more information we have the better we will be able to offer you a safe and enjoyable experience.
Please be respectful of the lash & brow artist sat work and all the lovely ladies who are enjoying a nice, relaxed lash/brow appointment and leave your beautiful little ones at home.
